PLYMOUTH - Marion T. McCallum, 86, died on April 19, 2021, in Bangor, Maine. Marion was born November 28, 1934, in Auchinairn, Scotland, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Murphy. She was one of 5 siblings, with her wee brother, Jack, always having a very special place in her heart. Marion married William McCallum from Clydebank, Scotland.

Marion did all of her schooling in Scotland, studying elocution, the study and practice of formal speaking which she was particularly proud of. Together they moved from Scotland to live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he was a painter and photographer in Philadelphia. Marion stayed home to be with her children. After several years in Pennsylvania, they moved to Maine to be closer to friends. They built a home in Plymouth, and there they raised 6 children together. Marion was a loving, devoted mother, who lived her life for her children and grandchildren. Family was everything to Marion and Bill. Marion was also a devoted Jehovah's Witness for many years.

She is survived by her children, John McCallum and wife, Sue, of Hampden, Carol Saunders and her husband, Doug, of Plymouth, Bruce McCallum of Newport, Susan Ross and her husband, David, of Pittsfield, Becky Brewer and husband, Stephen, of Elkton, Virginia, and Fiona Beane and her husband, Mike, of Newport; and her special grandchildren, Ryan McCallum, Megan McCallum and her partner, Billie Taylor, Nicholas Saunders and his partner, Shauna Erp, Ian Saunders and his partner, Victoria Damon, Cameron Ross and wife, Kellie, Rachel Ross and partner, Trevey Davis, Alyssa Stewart and husband, James, Kylie Smith and husband, Cameron, Sarah Brewer, Erin Beane and Callum Beane. She also has 4 great-grandchildren, Callan Ross, Eden Saunders, Oliver Smith and Abigail Stewart. Marion is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families in Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband, William McCallum; and her siblings, Kathy, Betty, Joy, and Jack, all from Scotland.
